How to Clear the Recently Deleted Photos on iPhone
If you’ve ever accidentally deleted photos on your iPhone and then realized you wanted to keep them, you might be wondering how to clear the recently deleted photos. The good news is that it’s a straightforward process. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to clear the recently deleted photos on your iPhone.
Step 1: Open the Photos App
The first step is to open the Photos app on your iPhone. You can find the app on your home screen, and it typically has a camera icon.
Step 2: Navigate to the Recently Deleted Album
Once the Photos app is open, tap on the “Albums” tab at the bottom of the screen. Scroll down and you should see an album called “Recently Deleted.” This is where all the photos you’ve deleted in the last 30 days are stored.
Step 3: Select All Photos
In the “Recently Deleted” album, tap on the select button in the upper right corner of the screen. This will allow you to choose multiple photos at once.
Step 4: Delete the Photos
With the photos selected, tap on the trash can icon in the lower left corner of the screen. A confirmation message will appear asking if you’re sure you want to delete the photos. Tap “Delete” to confirm.
Step 5: Confirm Deletion
Another confirmation message will appear, asking if you’re sure you want to permanently delete the photos. Tap “Delete Photo” to confirm the deletion.
That’s it!
Your recently deleted photos should now be permanently deleted from your iPhone. Remember that once you delete photos from the “Recently Deleted” album, they are gone forever, so make sure you’re sure before you proceed.
If you’re concerned about accidentally deleting important photos, you can also enable the “iCloud Photos” feature, which automatically uploads your photos to the cloud and keeps them safe even if you delete them from your device. To enable this feature, go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Photos, and toggle “iCloud Photos” on.
